Guilherme Coelho

Executive Director

Dr. Coelho is a seasoned offshore drilling executive with over 20 years of international leadership experience. Prior to his current position, Dr. Coelho acted as Senior Vice President Brazil at Vard Group and had positions of increasing responsibility in legal, marketing, operations, line management and strategy at Transocean, including Vice President Strategy and Portfolio Management, Vice President for the Africa & Mediterranean Business Unit, and Managing Director for the South America Division.

He holds a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, an LL.M. from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris-II), in France, an MBA from IMD, in Switzerland, and a Doctorate from Université de Bordeaux, in France. Dr. Coelho is a Brazilian citizen and resides in Brazil.

Linneu de Albuquerque Mello

Legal Director

Linneu Mello has been a practicing attorney since 1990 and has served as a partner at several leading law firms. He has extensive experience in contract structuring, as well as in complex corporate and tax planning, and possesses a strong background in litigation strategy. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in the structuring of international operations and has been actively involved in implementing and overseeing codes of conduct and ethics programs within corporate environments. He holds a Law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International and Comparative Taxation from Harvard Law School (1997/98), and both a Master’s and Doctorate in Law from the University of Michigan Law School (2008/09 and 2012).

Luis Mariano

Director of Operations

Luis Mariano is an energy sector executive who has worked in different regions of the world, such as Asia, Europe, Africa and both North and South America, over the last 25 years. Before being named to his current position, at Ventura in June 2023, he has held several executive positions at major oil and gas industry players such as Transocean, Valaris and Seadrill. Mr. Luis also has experience in Human Resources, Marketing and QHSE at both Regional and Corporate levels. His experience spans shallow and deep-water operations with a variety of different clients. Mr. Luis, who is Brazilian, earned a bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineer from Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) – Rio de Janeiro.

Marcelo Issa

Diretor Financeiro

Marcelo Issa has a degree in Economics and Law, as well as an MBA in finance. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial, accounting and administrative departments across diverse sectors, such as oil and gas, retail and banking. He has a proven track record leading complex projects such as debt restructuring, ERP development and cost monitoring. At Ventura Offshore, he was responsible for structuring financial and administrative operations in India and Indonesia and participated in the debt restructuring process.

Mardonildo Filho

Strategy Director

Mardonildo Filho is a highly experienced executive in the oil and gas sector, with over 20 years dedicated to offshore operations and project management. Before joining Ventura Offshore, he held various positions at Transocean since 2002. Additionally, he served as COO of Knarr Drilling, where he led the strategic business analysis for the acquisition of Sete Brasil's assets and defined the operational philosophy of the new company. Mardonildo holds degrees in Industrial, Civil, and Petroleum Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Carlos Guimarães

Engineering Director

Carlos Roberto Guimarães is an accomplished naval and offshore engineering professional with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a specialization in Naval Engineering from UFRJ. He began his career at Ishibras Shipyard, where he held the position of Naval/Offshore Production Director with international experience in Japan. He has held leadership roles at Mauá Shipyard, IVI Shipyards, and Petroserv, managing offshore projects and operations across multiple countries including the USA, Sweden, Finland, Singapore and South Korea. Currently, Carlos is the Engineering Director at Ventura-Offshore, where he leverages his global expertise to lead innovation and excellence in offshore engineering.

José Maria Miranda

Operations Support Director

José Maria Miranda has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years, with approximately 18 of those years at Ventura Offshore. He began his career at Paulipetro, serving as a Company Representative (Field Engineer) during an onshore drilling campaign in the Paraná Basin, Brazil. He later held the position of Rig Manager at Montreal Engenharia on jack-up rigs, and then became Technical Manager at UME (Unap Montreal Etesco), overseeing operations of deepwater offshore drilling and production units. He also worked at Petrodrill as a Drilling and Commissioning Engineer during the construction of semisubmersible rigs across various international sites, before moving on to positions as Rig Manager at Pride and later Transocean, where he operated on ultra-deepwater drilling units. Mr. Miranda holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo and a postgraduate degree in Drilling Engineering from Petrobras University. He is a Brazilian citizen and currently resides in Brazil.
